Privacy Policy

Amable is a desktop application that lets you control Ableton Live through a conversation. This policy explains exactly what data we handle, why, and who processes it.

Your audio never leaves your computer. Amable does not record, upload, or process audio. It reads and changes the structure of your Live set — things like tempo, track names, clip positions, MIDI notes and device names.

What we collect

Your email address. Used to create your account, send one-time sign-in codes, and contact you about your subscription.
Your conversations. The messages you write and Amable's replies, including which actions it performed, are stored so your chat history is there when you come back.
Session context. To carry out your requests, a text summary of your open Live set is sent along with your message — track names and indices, tempo, time signature, which clips exist, device names, and mixer values. No audio, no samples, no project files.
Usage counters. How many messages you have sent, so we can apply the free trial and your plan.
Subscription status. Whether your subscription is active and when the period ends. Card details are handled entirely by Stripe and never reach our servers.
Waitlist email. If you signed up before launch, we store your email to notify you when Amable is available.

How your messages are used

Your message and the session summary above are sent to an AI model in order to generate a response and decide which actions to take in Live. Inference runs on Cloudflare Workers AI. We do not use your conversations to train AI models, and we do not sell or share them.

Who processes your data

Cloudflare — hosting, database, and AI inference.
Stripe — subscription payments and billing. Stripe handles your payment details directly under its own privacy policy.
Resend — delivery of sign-in codes and account emails.

Retention and deletion

Conversations are kept until you delete them in the app or ask us to remove your account. Deleting your account removes your conversations, usage records, and email from our systems; billing records that we are legally required to keep are retained by Stripe.

Security

Traffic between the app and our servers is encrypted with TLS. Your session credentials are stored on your computer using your operating system's secure storage (Keychain on macOS, DPAPI on Windows).

Children

Amable is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

Changes

If this policy changes materially, we will notify subscribers by email before the change takes effect.
